Winning Entry Helen Davies- ‘Delicate Details‘
With such a display of great contemporary art from so many talented artists choosing a winner and three runners-up was always going to be difficult. The judging panel of last years winner Adam Brooks, Castlefield Gallery’s Director Helen Wewiora, Co-Director of International3 Paulette Terry Brien, Artist Rachel Goodyear and Mann Diesel’s Louise Durose however have risen to the challenge with a real varied mix of art styles which stand out as worthy winners.
You can see all the winners and shortlisted artists works for yourself at GM Arts Prize POP UP Exhibition at GM Chamber of Commerce Elliot House Deansgate Manchester on Friday’s 12 -2pm until 2nd June.

GM Chamber of Commerce
The GM Chamber of Commerce team headed by Head of Skills Development, Joy Sewart along with Finance & Management Informatiuon Coordinator Clare Clarke have done a tremendous job again in this, the second year of the GM Arts Prize, and I for one, certainly hope that this brilliant showcase for Greater Manchester’s Emerging Artists will continue to be supported in future years. Sponsors Please Note!
The awards will be presented in front of 800 of Manchester’s business élite at the GM Chamber of Commerce annual dinner which will take place at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on Thursday 18th May 2017. Actor, comedian and DJ Craig Charles has been confirmed as the host/DJ which has been billed as a “wholehearted celebration of the quality and diversity of Greater Manchester business.”
Following the success of the 2016 “after dinner party”, Craig Charles will again hold a funk and soul DJ set after the main dinner
